Hello, my name is Jennifer Preston. This is my sixth year as the Second Grade teacher at HTS. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 31 years. We have a daughter that is a senior in college working on her nursing degree. I received my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Special Education from Penn State University in 2017.
I have had a special place in my heart for HTS for many years. My daughter attended HTS from Pre-k3 to 8th grade. My husband and I are so grateful for the wonderful administration, teachers and staff that helped our daughter become the person she is today.
Philosophy of Teaching
As a second-grade teacher, I believe that it is important to emphasize a creative, supportive and engaging learning environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and social growth. It's about tailoring instruction to individual needs, promoting hands-on learning, and instilling a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.
